Crome Name Frames - JACK

Hey Everyone,

Wow it's been a weird week.  Been cold, icy and now snowy the whole time.  I swear it hasn't gotten over 20 all week and I know it's been lower.  We got about 6" of snow today.  It was beautiful.  My puppies loved it.  I'll post pics of them playing in the snow later.

Also, I had a computer problem.  Thought I'd almost lost it.  Not to worry all my stuff is on my external drive but you do need the computer to run it!  This virus from soemthing called "Security Alarm" got on my computer telling me I had 45 infections and that I had to buy their software for $80 to fix the problem.  And it looked like something from Microsoft so at first I thought it was real.  I also don't have 80 dollars to spend.  Gotta pay the bills.  Anyway, it wouldn't let me restore or use my windows xp disk to restore my computer.  I had already run my virus software which said nothing was there.  Finally the other night at 2am I ran my virus protection one more time using a deep computer scan and then I went to bed.  Woke up the next morning to find my computer restarted.  The virus thing had already been turning my computer off so I thought I might be screwed.  So when I logged back on it turned off again.  Then I logged back on a second time and everything was fine.  The virus was gone.  I checked with my virus protection and it said that it had removed 2 files.

The virus attached itself to my computer like a program and downloaded on my computer.  It had even showed up on my start-up menu and program files.  But I couldn't find it at all in my add programs.  So I couldn't delete it myself.  Well my software (Charter) had taken that off too.  Yeah!

So moral of the story.  If security alert comes on your computer don't do anything it says.  IT will flash red and put errors on everything you try to do and send all kinds of warnings.  Just keep runing your software for virus' and it will get rid of it.

That is really very fantastic. I had already run my virus software which said nothing was there.

What a pain that virus is!!! You're not the only one who has had to deal with it.
