Praying Mantis
(This is about as wild as it gets around here,
unless you count my squirrel or cardinal
- and you've all seen them ----haha)
I know I'm late for last week but I'm posting anyway.I had forgotten that I had taken these photos of this praying mantis in
our backyard the other day. It was just sitting
there on our lawn mower. I think this should apply
to "wild" even though they're insects.
Pretty cool don't you think.

that's magnificent. you don't see too many of those anymore, at least it seems to me. they look so old and wise :)
